Exports and backups are not uploaded automatically. CSV exports contain readable financial information, so protect the files and choose recipients deliberately.

Does Sovo Finance Personal work offline?
Yes. It works offline on your Windows PC and does not require a SOVO cloud account. Microsoft Store uses its own services for purchase, installation, licensing and updates.
Can I import bank statements?
You can review CSV, OFX and QFX bank files, check possible duplicates and matching suggestions, then confirm the entries you want to import. The app does not request bank passwords or connect directly to your bank.
How are multiple currencies handled?
Choose a currency for each account and review currency-specific totals. Transfers are between accounts in the same currency; budgets and savings goals use your home currency. Personal does not assume exchange rates or convert balances automatically.
Are my records and backups encrypted?
The current Windows app uses encrypted financial books and encrypted backup packages. Restoring a backup requires its archive password and the workspace recovery secret. Ordinary CSV exports are readable files. Protect your Windows account and keep recovery secrets safe.
When will I see bill and subscription reminders?
Reminders are shown while the app is open. They help you organise what is due; they do not make a payment or cancel a subscription.
