SOVO Finance Personal privacy policy
How the Personal desktop edition handles your records on your own device.
Publisher and contact
Microsoft Store publisher display name: Sovo. SOVO HOLDINGS is the product brand used by Awwad Shakshak. For privacy questions, support, or a security concern, email contact@awwadshakshak.com.
Do not include passwords, bank credentials, identity documents, complete financial files, or recovery secrets in an initial support email. Describe the issue with a redacted example where possible.
Records processed on your device
Personal processes the information you choose to enter or import: a local profile, sign-in settings and preferences; account labels and types; balances; transaction dates, amounts, categories, memos and references; budgets; savings goals; debts; recurring bills and subscriptions; contacts, notes and reminders; and supported CSV/OFX/QFX file contents. Imported files may contain financial-account identifiers. Only import files you are authorised to use.
These records are used to organise your finances, produce reports, preview and record imports, and support local export and backup. The application runs a local service restricted to this device and stores financial records in an encrypted local database under the current operating-system profile. It does not create a SOVO cloud account or provide investment services.
The default application does not send product telemetry, behavioural analytics, or advertising identifiers to SOVO, and does not sell financial records or use them to train an external AI service. This describes SOVO’s product behaviour, not independent Microsoft, operating-system, email-provider, or customer-hosted services.
Retention and deletion
Personal records remain in your chosen local workspace until you remove them using supported product controls or manage the files on your device. Uninstall retains user data. Local exports, backups, and copies are separate records; changing the live workspace does not remove those copies. Backup and recovery actions should be checked carefully before deleting data.
SOVO cannot access or remotely delete your local financial records. For a privacy request about support correspondence, use the contact above.
Device security and diagnostics
The current Windows release protects financial books with an encrypted local database and uses local sign-in to control app access. Encrypted backup packages use a separate archive password; restoring also requires the workspace recovery secret and a new destination. Keep both recovery secrets safely. The sign-in password or sign-in recovery codes do not replace the workspace recovery secret. Ordinary CSV exports contain readable financial information. Protect your operating-system account, device, exports and backup destinations. An unlocked app or access by an authorised operating-system administrator is outside the app sign-in boundary. No product can guarantee absolute security.
Technical startup and diagnostic files may be stored locally. They are not automatically uploaded to SOVO. Review and redact any diagnostic material before voluntarily sharing it with support.
Microsoft may process information for Store acquisition, installation, licensing, updates, reviews, diagnostics, and account services. Windows and WebView2 also operate under their own configuration and privacy terms. These services are separate from SOVO’s local product records. Read the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Your choices and changes
Choose which records to enter, which files to import, and where to store exports. Do not enter credentials or unnecessary sensitive personal information in account labels, memos, or other text fields. The product is for a person’s financial organisation and is not directed at children.
These policies may change when product behaviour changes. The date above identifies this version. Material changes to data use will be explained before the changed feature is enabled. Microsoft Store and operating-system services have their own terms and privacy notices.
